Volunteer at HLT

Want to be part of something truly special?

Hyde Little Theatre is a vibrant, and award-winning volunteer-run organization, and we need people like you to help bring our stage and community activities to life.

Volunteering here means more than just lending a hand; it’s about joining a family of theatre lovers, creatives, and community-minded people working together to make a real impact in our local area.

As a volunteer, you could:

  • Help behind the scenes with our productions, from directing and choreographing, to set building, creating costumes or props, and stage / technical management.
  • Greet our audiences and visitors and help them feel welcome at shows, classes, and events.
  • Support youth and adult classes, where we nurture new talent and build confidence.
  • Assist with our popular community activities, like baby and carer groups, community lunches, and safe spaces to socialise.
  • Help us raise awareness of our activities and sessions so we can support even more people locally, by getting involved with our marketing – from social media, to designing our posters, attending local events to represent Hyde Little Theatre, and handing out flyers within the local community.
  • Keep our young people and other attendees safe and well by providing chaperoning services.

No experience is needed—just a passion for helping others and a love for community! Whether you want to make a regular commitment, can give a few hours a week or want to get involved in specific events, your time and energy will make a difference.

Join us and be part of the magic that makes Hyde Little Theatre so unique. Together, we can create something extraordinary!
